I custom pack each work and insure it for its total value. And though it’s pretty hard to break metal art, the talent to destroy available at shipping companies is mindboggling, so I take great care in getting your artwork to you, letting you know how it's going through texts or emails.

FAQ's

Where are you located?
Brian Savage Studio is located in Volcano, Hawaii, United States about 4 miles from the Hale MA'uma'u crater on Kilauea. All works are hand made here in the studio.

The listed artwork I want is sold out, in a gallery, unavailable or there are multiples. Is it possible to have something similar made?
Yes… and maybe. Each material and process is different. This determines if a similar piece can be made. For works such as fish species and other metal wall art, very similar, but not exact, pieces may be readily available.  The nature of hand made sculpture is different than, say, a print of an original painting. Each sculpture is an original. With that in mind, the description will say “original” if the art in the posted image is the exact piece you will receive. In some cases, I've seval similar pieces. Custom fish species or sizes can also be made. Specialty requests such as engraving with a message are entirely possible. Of course, I’ll need a little lead time to make a new sculpture Please contact me for scheduling.

Do you accept custom or commission orders?
Yes! I can make a new custom piece or consider a commission. If you see something you like in the website catalogue or in the online store, there’s often a good possibility it can be made. Sculpture is not like reprints of photography or paintings, and each piece has to be made by hand. Please contact me for pricing.

The cast owl-wizard sculptures can be carved with natal chart points or other symbols on the wings and back.

Can I return an art piece if I don't like it?
Sorry, no returns or refunds are possible on fine artwork.

How should I care for my artwork?
To preserve the unique tones and colors of bare metal, a clear spray lacquer or a Nyalic spray (a marine and space industry protective product) is applied to the metal artwork. Unless otherwise noted, the work is intended to be displayed indoors. Exposing work to exterior environments with moisture and the sun's UV will eventually breakdown the coating and oxidization will occur. Rust could also look good and I have have many exterior works that look great when rusted.

Take care to not scratch, abrade or use water or chemical cleaners on the artwork. Clean by dusting with a soft brush or blowing off with air to avoid scratches. Any questions, please contact me.
